"Here in the spring of 1938 the divine Greta Garbo, escaping from the hullabaloo of Hollywood, met with Leopold Stokowski hours of secret happiness". This is what a commemorative plaque engraved in the Viale dell'Immenso bears at one of the famous Villas on the Amalfi Coast, whose poignant beauty has always been a reminder and refuge for famous men of entertainment, aristocracy and a source of inspiration for many artists. The escape of love in Ravello of the Swedish actress Greta Garbo and the conductor Leopold Stokowski is now history: I imagined the Swedish actress in expressionist style, with a particularly articulated and full-bodied pictorial material, conceiving her portrait at the moment of abandonment to the caress of her beloved. The palpitating atmosphere bursting with vivid colors embraces the light of the sunset reflected on the waves of the sea of Ravello.
