Painting inspired by the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, in which I wanted to blend expressionism with realism, capturing the essence of important historical figures through vivid colors and pulsating energy: Giuseppe and Anita Garibaldi. The former, hero of two worlds, a great Italian disinterested in wealth and material values, but willing to give his life for his country; the latter fought alongside his beloved. This work exudes passion, idealism and struggle, evoking heroic deeds and commitment to ideals greater than oneself. The vibrant inclusion of colors symbolizes diversity of thought and unity in common struggle.
