Symbolist, expressionist, surreal landscape work. I had the rediscovery of nature within as a guiding topic - that and the colours, I've used an abudnance of powdered mineral pigments here - letting the surface glow in this vibrant unpredictable manner - the chromatics remind a little about some of the favorite Odilon Redon paitings - that's always a majour inspiration for me. But ultimately the inspiration is nature - and this is what I wanted to convey in this composition.
