A summer tree cradling a captive moon.
The leaves are filtering the moon drops, which surround the seated woman - she is a conduit, carrying the moonlight to be dispersed into the water.

It is painted in Winsor & Newton watercolour and permanent Derwent Inktense pencil on heavy 320 gsm Indian handmade cotton paper which is acid free, with deckle edge.

My artworks are very much affected by my surroundings and in late December and through January 2020, I found myself painting a series of tree images on this lovely paper.
As well as by the trees surrounding my home, this image is also inspired by Astrological Water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.
