Painted from life at Boerner Botanical Gardens in WI with Oil over casein paint on board. Features a close-up view of two tree peony flowers in shades of bright pink and light pink with dark red shadows and white highlights. The shapes of the petals are enhanced by paint thickly applied with both palette knife and brush. The flower is also accented by green leaves along with light blue and purple in the background. Running and dripping effects in the background were created with casein paint, then glazed over with oil. Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish. 21.5" tall by 17.5" wide by 1" deep framed. May be purchased unframed by request.
