Original artwork description:

Acrylic colour on handmade Thai mulberry paper (kada sa), deckled edges,21.5 x 31.5 in., 55 x 80 cm.
I can’t say it enough, I love tropical rain forest. It is thick with mood, with life. Getting that feeling on paper is indeed a fun challenge. This one started out long ago, an outline that I put away until…
When I took it up again I took my inspiration from the wonderful wall of green forest that separates our little subdivision from the market and commercial area to the other side…
The paper I use is a traditional mulberry paper handmade in Thailand. The paper is a thick parchment paper, strong yet pliable. I have the paper made to this size to get the deckled edges which adds to the textural effect.
The close up pictures are to get a better feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.
