Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by an Artist called Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin 1832-1898. In 1986 I became aware of his work and through a series of meditations I was able to communicate with his creative energy. He agreed to work with and tutor me. I produced a series of oil paintings and this is one of them. Each of the paintings has my signature with an "S"under it to denote his input. They are not meant to be exact copies, some of the original detail has been omitted deliberately and with his approval. He understood my motif was to learn his techniques. This painting was the last in the series, subsequent paintings of mine just carry my own signature.

The edges have been painted and is ready to hang.
