On a sunny but cold day, a sailing boat passes the Île de Peilz, at the east end of Lac Léman. Mist and low cloud in the background, combined with the sun on the water, made for a silvery scene; the lake surface appeared as a wrinkled sheet surrounding the tree, which stands looking both out-of-place and, at the same time, dignified and graceful, in a vast expanse of water.

Limited edition digital Giclée print on Epson archival paper.
