An expressionistic painting of the upper branches of a garden tree, viewed in the late afternoon sunlight of a cold February day. using an enhanced palette of primary colours. It was inspired by a particularly strong late afternoon light falling directly on the upper branches of a tree in my garden. The view is foreshortened due to an almost vertical line of sight. Painted on 4/2/2012.
