Semi-abstract ultra colorful piece - It started out with a gestural take on a flower composition just to eventually reveal itself as a serpentine dragon-like being. Truly alchemical transmutation thinking about it ;)
I've decided for a very gestural and expressive approach with this painting - areas of thick, higly-saturated impasto are subsequently shaded and turned to suggestions of form - never entirely defined - the energy and color being the ultimate subject matter of the work

The work is in oil and etching inks on gessoed wood panel, comes framed in a deep wooden floatframe and ready to hang
