There’s a great deal of rhythm and rhyme which can be viewed and felt within the paintings. Movement. The black lines show this as they weave in and out; in front and behind the scenes of life. There are stops and starts. Sometimes it’s stilted. It’s not what we expected. But we keep on. On our path. For come what may. Such is the human spirit. For transitions are here.
‘Transitions’ is part of a series of paintings made in response to a year spent living in and travelling through Colombia, Guatemala and New York City. During journeys, particularly across large frenetic cities such as New York, the sounds, sights, smells and constant movement could be overwhelming. To manage this sensory overload, I created a self-made safe-haven, amidst the sensory chaos of the city. I carved out a quiet and meditative space in which I sketched.
The drawings and notes made during these journeys acted as the starting point for larger works on canvas. The general fluxes of life, and the commonality of the human condition, are explored through line, shape, rhythm and rhyme. Black lines weave in and out, in front of and behind the scenes of life. There are stops and starts, sometimes it is stilted: a process of exploration and revelation.
My art can be found all over the world, from offices to exhibition spaces. These original vibrant paintings lift the energy and invite creativity into any environment.
My mission is to create global communities through art and advocacy; a colourful journey into neurodiversity awareness.
Find out for yourself why my art has become a favourite for forward-thinking companies and art lovers everywhere.
I am endlessly proud of my creations.
