Original artwork description:

This is the last of my recent waterlily series. As I was finishing this painting, a thought flashed through my mind--an epiphany ---"Ah, this is what I wanted to say about this pond..and now it is done."
This is about light. And, to me, there is a spiritual, meditation-like aspect to this work.
While the photo is a pretty good representation of the overall painting, it is better in person. I think this is because of the subtle changes within the darks, not easily picked up by a photo.
