Original artwork description:

Another in a series of sketchbook works reinvigorating my love for drawing. This time inspired by a recent trip to the National Opera in Paris.

Two statues guard the entrance to the Opera House, Tragedy and comedy. Myself being a typical artist I chose to draw the more calamitous figure, Tragedy.

I've already completed several artworks inspired by my tour around the Palais Garnier, it's an exquisitely detailed building stuffed with every form of art and craftwork possible. I suspect Tragedy will not be the last.
