Original artwork description:

Like so many of my landscape paintings, this scene was painted near my home in the Saarland region in south-west Germany.
The undulating hills and little villages are typical for the region. I often walk this way with my dog and, one day, I found the track by the group of trees and the field with cornflowers so inspiring that I went there with my painting equipment and did this watercolour. In the photos you can see how this particular work was created, with my dog, Islay, lying beside my easel!
