This original 9x12 oil painting was created en plein air in Eagle Creek, Oregon. Fighting the urge to stay warm at home, I begrudgingly gathered my gear and set up at a bend in the road early in the morning. I don't remember the cold but I do remember the quiet loveliness of painting this scene.
