Artwork description:

This is a very exclusive series! It only contains 10 pieces of which every print is different from the other one. As a matter of fact I treated every print individually so that they all would become unique pieces. On top of it the prints cannot be remade as I destroyed the original copper plate (printing plate).

The motif itself – the organic structures and archaic lines correspond to this historic printing method, all in all it seems from another time, a time capsule and it is, as I made those pieces in 1999.

Even the surface, the off-white paper has a distinct character, it is handmade (Büttenpapier) and the marks and traces add up to the character.

is a further development of version 1-6. The original motif is still visible but got in the background as the cloudy structures are dominating. For version 8 I used a classic black to serve a softer and elegant expression - Black never gets old ;-).
Note versions 7 & 8 are the only ones in this style with the cloudy structures.

P.S. It gets full attention when displayed in a passepartout and a simple wooden frame - like simulated in the "home context" picture (might not be in scale).
