The trabucco is an old fishing machine typical of Italy spread along the coast of southern Adriatic imported from Phoenicians.
The Trabucchi are wooden constructions that look like to pile-dwellings, connected to the coast by a footbridge on which nets were installed. They real fishing machines anchored to the rocks, and able to withstand even the most violent of gales.
Trabucchi are protected as historical monuments.
