Last summer, after the first quarantine, when we were advised to stay at home, I started painting a lot on the streets when the restrictions eased a little. Sitting in a park or at a cafe table, feeling the surrounding space and capturing it with colors on a sheet - limitations taught us to appreciate this simple pleasure! Most of the time, I drew quick sketches in a notebook, but sometimes I drew full-fledged paintings in watercolors (like this one).

This is the tower of an old house on one of my favorite streets in Kiev. The evening was warm, I was painting, and the August twilight was gradually painting everything in a purple-blue color.
