Mixing techniques of randomly placed thick acrylic paint, letting it land and move into position over a couple of days, then embellishing the resulting pattern with details and repetition, the scene was set for the trees to be "grown", For these, I used slightly metallic pouring oil which grew organically over a good few hours once applied, and determined the shape of the three trees … while bringing to life tiny little leaves and branches.
I love the mixture of surprise and control which is evident in this little picture!
It is varnished to a high gloss finish and the edges of the deep canvas are a crisp white.
