This picture shows an early morning in Paris. The sun illuminates the streets of the city and is reflected in the pink reflexes on the buildings. I wanted to convey the feeling of the glow of the stone, the buildings seem to come to life under the rays of the sun. I really love the architecture of the 7th district of Paris and walking there inspires me every time.
Transparent watercolor paint like no other medium is able to convey the freshness of the morning and the glow of the stone.
This painting was exhibited in Albi in France at the International Watercolour Festival.
