Original artwork description:

The Toward the Light series was the result of a “Spiritual Awakening” that followed a very dark period in my life. I spent days at the base of magnificent trees in Geneva, Switzerland, watching them reach toward the sky; I was searching for the light. Shortly after, I moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada and there was a tornado that took out a big part of the west end. The trees were upended and propelled with an extreme urgency toward the light. And I found it.
