Original artwork description:

This is a painting of the Tour de France cyclists as they were climbing Holme Moss in Yorkshire on the second day. The sun shone and millions turned out to see the riders. Some spectators, because of early morning road closures, had to get to their spot before 7am. Others had ventured high into the hills on Saturday night, all heading to campsites and laybys before the roads were closed.
