Touching Waterfalls 20x30 Oil on Canvas_x000D_ _x000D_ I have a neurological brain disorder called Narcolepsy which results in my brain awake or asleep being stuck in REM sleep. This is a life limiting condition but the more interesting aspect of this condition is the constant dreaming as it means I am always very close to it. It has always been my intention to portray this is in my painting and this is a painting about that. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
