'Touching The Surface' is part of a collection of paintings that explore light, reflections and distortions in water. The collection has been a natural development from my 'Glass Reflections' range where light and patterns play a huge role in my creations. Recently, a painting from my 'Reflections in water range' called 'Swim through the shadows' was submitted and selected for the Lichfield festival exhibition. (This design can be seen in the me at work section) All these patterns give the illusion of constant movement on the canvas, through the ripples and waves created through shadow and light.
