This is from a series of linocuts focussing on the human torso. Looking at part of the body in isolation gives an unexpected effect: more abstract, often quite strange. It's derived from my own life drawings which explore light falling on the form. The challenge was to translate this into mark-making which suits lino cutting techniques.
