This is an original artwork, painted on 1.5" thick gallery-wrapped canvas. The borders are painted. It can be hung as is, or framed for added stability and beauty.

I like to explore the subject of children and childhood in my paintings. My goal is to capture the transient nature of childhood and all the vulnerabilities inherent in it.

This painting has a lot of texture achieved by mixing in marble powder with acrylic paints. I like to work with different mediums and materials to further explore my subject matter. In this painting I mixed in marble powder with my paints and used sandpaper to create texture that captures the essence and nature of stucco wall that the girl is drawing on.
