On the brow of the hill, Tondorf is a typical village in the Eifel region of Germany with its church tower and its tall May tree still visible on the horizon. This is how I saw it and painted it against a summer sky having just arrived for a few days of painting in early June. I have kept it summery with my choice of fresh greens among the golden fields. The loose clouds finish off the light and breezy mood. Beautiful Eifel - I am looking forward to visiting you again!

This unique, original watercolour painting was painted en plein air in the Eifel region of Germany on 300g rough Arches watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It comes mounted in a warm white mount to fit a standard frame size of 50x70cm and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
