Original artwork description:
My inspiration for this piece came when I wandered outside just before sunset in Tom's garden. The sky was full of fragmented colour and the air was getting a little chilly. This is the golden hour when everything is more beautiful, all the senses heightened. I painted it by first laying down a layer of transparent oil colour and then adding thick paint in gestural brush strokes to describe the atmosphere and form.
Painted in artist quality oil paints on a gallery wrap canvas with painted sides so it is ready to hang.
Dimensions: 80 x 80 x 4.5 cm (31.5 x 31.5 x 1.75 inches)
Shipped; Tracked and insured all surfaces protected in cardboard box.
