I loved the expression of this tomato seller. Though his work was hard, he maintained a happy expression. I painted the cluttered background in a loose manner and in muted tones to keep the focus on the figure.
This painting was done a long time ago. Now, after so many years of experience in handling watercolours, I felt like re-working on it and making it look better. Happy with the result now. This is painted on Indian handmade watercolour paper Rough grain 270 gsm using artist-grade paints. Signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
