Original artwork description:

My happy tom cat is peeping to see who's disturbing him lounging in the sun. I used some lovely fabric samples I was given for the background of this canvas and for the shadows in his fur.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
