Original artwork description:

The days winds have dissipated on the island of Tiree. All noises and movement nulled by the dusk, apart from the odd chattering gaggle of Dotterels and of course the rythmic breaking of the surf. The moon picks out the barrels of the waves in the bay creating a luminous turquoise below the breaking white crests above them.

Paul has created his abstract interpretation of the feeling of that vision in Tiree Wave 3, working with a stippled texture in firstly acrylic and then oilpaints on box canvas. After 3 stays on the Hebridean island the magical feeling of the place is still present
