Original artwork description:

This artwork is an original, one-off work by the artist.

This work continues the theme of the otherworld. This work is entitled "Tir na nOg" being: In Irish mythology and folklore, Tir na nOg ("Land of the Young") or Tir na nOige ("Land of Youth") is one of the names for the Otherworld, or perhaps for a part of it. It is depicted as a supernatural realm of everlasting youth, beauty, health, abundance and joy! Painted in the style of abstract expressionism.

I like using acrylics as the colours blend so well together.

This work is painted on 12 oz gallery canvas and has been sealed with varnish but is UNFRAMED!!!. The canvas ready to be stretched onto a frame is 197 cm in width by 157 cm height. It is a big artwork and should be shipped UNFRAMED.

This work was created in September 2017.

In my paintings, I use finest quality professional Liquitex acrylic paints, gallery canvas. The painting was sprayed with a glaze of varnish.

A Certificate of Authenticity with hologram - verification is attached to the image.

FRAMED AND INTERIOR IMAGES
In the photos, where the painting is shown mounted on a wall, these are purely for illustrative purposes. You should review the dimension of the artwork to be sure the work suits your needs. In the case when a painting is sold without a frame, of course, you can add a frame of your choosing and so it will add to the overall dimensions.

SHIPPING
Shipping costs for this work internationally can be prohibitively expensive so the canvases can be taken off the stretchers and rolled up and shipped in a crate, avoiding heavy shipping costs. However, the buyer would need to have the canvases remounted.

Materials used:

Acrylic and Gesso
