This powerful artwork is entitled , " TIN MAN in a BROKEN WORLD! " It is created on a 24 x 18 x .75 inch stretched canvas. Man! Did this project ever turn into a powerful and heavy burden for my heart and psyche. I have been wanting to create an artwork in the Surrealistic style of Salvador Dali ever since I went with my son to a Boston Museum and saw Dali's work with my own eyes. I had planned on doing a very simplistic theme based on two songs by one of my favorite groups of the old days. "AMERICA". I was entertaining the idea of doing a painting dedicated to the two songs, TIN MAN and A HORSE WITH NO NAME. The day before I was to begin the artwork I sat in bed that night studying Dali's work and some articles on the thinking processes of many of the most famous surrealistic artists. I had a concept of an artwork in my mind but was becoming frustrated as to what lyrics to focus on. So I took a moment and just read my Bible for a bit. I always get through the barriers when I do that. When I read some of my precious red-lettered words... it came to me... Just paint what you see! So when I went back to the lyrics I was caught off guard by what captured me! It was the name of the Musicians....AMERICA! I had read that many of the surrealist artist tried to make statements with their artworks. I love doing statement pieces but I really wasn't very interested it going that route at this particular time. Especially since my heart is broken by what I SEE happening to my beloved America. I resisted for weeks... but God's words spoke to me deeply ...paint what you see! This artwork tormented me as I created what I see today! I pray daily that this is NOT will happen to my country whom my Father gave his life for. I pray that this artwork is only my impression and misses the mark. Many believe it will NOT be... I pray they are right and I am wrong. I take comfort that GOD is in charge... and no matter what happens ... HIS Will be done. We will all see soon enough. There are many messages in this artwork... but the one that counts the most for me is I am Saved because of Jesus's sacrifice for me... and the Seven Angels sound the seven trumpets! I'm Ready!

It is painted on the sides so you can hang it UNFRAMED if you wish. This artwork would hang better unframed because of details that are close to the edges.
