Original artwork description:
A friend has a lovely sanctuary type flower garden where this statue resides. Invited to paint there on a warm, sunny morning, I wanted to capture the cool of the shade and the light that filtered through the overhead trees warming up and highlighting the pretty statue and some of the surrounding hydrangeas. Thus I wanted to capture a moment in time in what feels like a very timeless garden path.
