The plot of this picture was formed under the reflections that arose in the process of finding oneself. It is a self-portrait of honesty with oneself. I wore masks because I wanted to be comfortable. I killed myself with this deception. Therefore, in the picture I used the face as a layering of masks, because I was thinking about a masquerade ball. At such events, faces are hidden and it is impossible to guess who is who. This work has a related history with my village, where I come from. The photo reference was created on the territory of the village. I was born there, but with the events my perception of that native place has undergone changes. External transformations: the beginning of the war, violence, I did not know how to perceive my native land. Splitting reality. All traumatic events affected me as a teenager, and I could not form my point of view on their beginning. Is this still a house? Is it just geographical data to determine the natal chart? Why did the war start from my land? This painting is a reflection on the uncertainty and fear of never seeing the parental home again.
I used Arches 300 g/m² archival quality paper, watercolor paints from the best producers Winsor Newton, Rosa, Van Gogh, Rembrandt in the world and water.
