A semi abstract oil painting, with far reaching views.
Inspired by a fabulous walk through a nature reserve in Corsica, the 'Bruzzi Path'. The path winds it's way up and through huge rocky expanses. There are breaks in the hills that give way to expansive and stunning views of the sea beyond with the coastline of Corsica disappearing into the distance. Enough to take your breath away!
Painted in a semi abstract style, with varied brushstrokes in the foreground, giving way to the smooth surface of the sea, reflecting the blue sky above and receding promontories. The scene is off late afternoon sunlight, just beginning to show a slight pinkiness in the sky beyond. The sea is lightened by the low sun, with darker areas where the sea joins the land. It was a truly mesmerising sight!
Painted in Michael Harding Professional Artists oil colours on a mounted wooden board. The edges are painted a clean, crisp white (please see additional photograph).
It is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Strung and ready to hang.
