Eyes that speak of love and care
In a time when life or death feels so, unfair
Eyes that are telling a whole tale
Of horror and miracles on the roll
But perseverance to make a difference
No matter the affluence
Every life matters
And some leave her heart in tatters
Telling a tale of sorrow
And telling a tale of triumph
Is rotating in her eyes like a rollercoaster
But hope keeps her courageous to a disease so contagious
So for today she will be a marching soldier
Fighting until this is over
And then we all will tread more carefully
And look with softer eyes
