I have seen so many beautiful images of tigers I was inspired to draw one myself using a variety of pastel sticks, panpastels and pastel pencils on Pastelmat board. All materials used are archival and lightfast.
The original reference image was larger so I used a cropped image to really focus in on the amazingly beautiful eyes of the tiger.
I have used an acid-free black mount, backing board and tape to prevent any damage to the artwork. I have framed the drawing using a smooth black wooden frame which has a slight sheen. Using the black mount and frame really allows the viewer to focus in on the artwork.
Hard and soft pastel sticks, Panpastels, Faber Castell Pitt pastel pencils
