My love of the sea and Scotland is normally portrayed in my many seascapes but this abstract impression of the sea rushing over rocks was inspired as I sat by the shore on a particularly stormy day watching the patterns created by the surf and spray. The composition is continued on the edges of the deep profile canvas allowing the painting to be hung without framing if so desired.
