Painted on-site in Sister Bay, Door County, Wisconsin. Features a unique tree whose sparse, bare branches at the top give the tree the look of having been struck by lightening. The bare branches at the very top of the tree transition to dry, brown leaves, then to brilliant orange autumn foliage, and finally to bright, spring green leaves at the bottom, as if all the seasons of the year can be seen at once. Painted in oil over casein paint on board. The casein paint in the background has a matte texture that contrasts with the thicker, glossier oil paint of the tree. The texture of the tree's foliage has been enhance by the use of thick paint applied with both palette knife and brush. Framed in a 3.5" wide wood frame with a medium brown "sagebrush" colored finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
