Original artwork description:
The Visteria tree only blooms a very short time in spring and fills the garden with its lovely foliage and purple flowers hanging from the pergola over our patio.
I wanted to capture the translucency of the leaves and the movement and tangle the long vines create, almost wanting to reach the ground, creating a curtain of foliage that locks in the warmth of the sun.
The painting is painted in layers of acrylic paint on board. It is unframed but could easily be framed and I can get you a quote and sample photos on request.
