Emerged during a time of deep emotional movement—when everything felt in flux, both inside and out. The dark, swirling shapes arrived first, like a surge of unspoken feelings rising to the surface. Then came the golds and soft whites, not to quiet the storm, but to move with it—light woven into shadow, contrast embracing itself.
It came from one of those moments when everything inside feels like it’s shifting—messy, powerful, and necessary. As I painted, it felt like something was breaking open.
There’s a quiet tension in this piece, a dance between chaos and calm. It’s not about fixing or controlling the storm—it’s about allowing it. Trusting that something new is being born through it all.
