Original artwork description:

This artwork is about a hypnagogic state I experience, a transitional stage between wakefulness and sleep. In that state my mind sometimes see the colours come together as if an image will emerge and I feel I am on the threshold of a dream. The work is in the style of abstract expressionism.

This artwork is painted on professional-grade canvas stretched and sealed with varnish. The canvas has dimensions 225 cm in width by 95 cm in height. The painting wraps around the sides of the stretcher, so the sides are painted in the same style as the surface. As such it does not need a frame.

The artwork was created in March 2023.
