I happened to hear an old song recently—and yes, I know I’m dating myself, but I don’t care—called “All Fired Up” by Pat Benatar, and I was inspired by the lyric, “The deepest cuts are healed by faith,” which I believe is true. So I painted this bold and dynamic mixed media abstract to express the truth that faith does heal the wounds that life inflicts on us. The painting has been given a satin varnish for protection, and hanging hardware is already installed.
