Artwork description:

Hand made limited edition (of 50) etching print on beautiful, heavyweight velvet surface 300gsm Hahnemuhle paper.
Made using the laborious, centuries-old etching technique where the image is "burned" into the surface of a smooth metal plate using acid. The plate is cleaned, inked, and run through an etching press in contact with a sheet of damp paper. The etching press is a hand-cranked rolled press capable of exerting thousands of pounds of pressure which forces the paper against the inked plate. The ink transfers to the paper, thich is carefull removed and hung to air dry.
Each print will be minutely different, each is signed and numbered in the border in pencil.
