Lovely, characterful lemons from Amalfi, placed on the edge of a damask tablecloth. It's always more interesting - but very difficult in this country - to get them with some pieces of stalk and leaves still attached. The low gloss and sheen of their skins always makes these knobbly lemons interesting to paint.

Highest quality artists' oil paint on heavy Italian linen canvas.
