A drawing that zooms in on three horses as they compete to win a race. Charcoal has been used with precision and spontaneity to capture each horse's individuality but at the same time capture the drama of the final stages of the race. Finding a way of using the charcoal to capture both movement through space and a sense of solidity is an ongoing challenge which encourages experimentation with the art material.
