Three Dancers _x000D_ _x000D_ I used to play piano at ballet and contemporary dance class throughout my university years. It helped pay for university. My job was to improvise to their movement so I got to know how big the leaps the swirls the steps the pace of dancing in all its many styles. This is what I want to capture when painting dancers is that energy I came to know and understand. I want to capture motion in the painting so I scrape and layer on paint till I feel that same movement I used to see as a pianist. _x000D_ _x000D_ The oil painting comes stretched to a deep edged canvas ready to hang with or without outer frame. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
