This painting has a wonderful circular evolution and form. Initially inspired by a 1970s black and white photograph of Morris Dancing on an English housing estate, the birds sprang out like blades on a propeller, once the other elements were in place. The colour fields and open canvas are a typical of one of the types of painting I love to paint.
