Original artwork description:

I was working on the issue of how women are often associated with sewing and knitting. I thought about it a lot, and probably, for this reason, a few nights ago I had a dream that involved some of these elements in a surreal setting. I have been suffering from parasomnia for the last couple of years and the symptoms are aggravated in the last few months. This dream had a unique balance between utopian and dystopian emotions. There were features that evoked nostalgia, happy memories, and fear. I remember a few snapshots like scenes that were relatively clearer from the fairly vague dream. This painting is one of those snapshots that I executed on a canvas board.

Materials used:

acrylic paint
